Rubén Abruña

Rubén has extensive experience in the entertainment industry including work in film, television, and radio, in New York, San Juan, and Miami. He has written, produced, directed, shot and edited numerous documentaries, corporate video programs, promos, and commercials.

He has won many awards including the Wolfson Media Award for South of Brooklyn, the Gold Award at the Aurora Film Festival for What About Coral, and the Blue Ribbon Award at the American Film Festival for The Battle of Vieques.

           As an Assistant Professor at the School of Entertainment and Design Technology of Miami Dade College he teaches film and video production and post-production.  He is also an Avid Certified Instructor and an Apple Certified Trainer for Final Cut Pro. Along with Allan Tépper he co-hosts Tecnotur’s technology segment.
